In 2021, the Center for Women's Studies organized four debates in commemoration of International Women's Day.
These discussions delved into complex topics, including gender concepts, feminist and queer utopias, the history of organizing around the 8th of March, and new alliances.
These debates were accompanied by a series of articles and four videos discussing various experiences of women in feminist and related progressive struggles. Your can read the articles in our BLOG.
The idea behind these discussions was to open new avenues of thinking and organizing, involving organizations and individuals who are not exclusively part of feminist collectives. In this way, the aim was to connect feminist organizing and contemplation with the broader community, civil society, and activist groups.
The project was financially supported by the Foundation Kvinna till Kvinna, and all responsibility for the content and opinions expressed is carried by The Women’s Studies Center.
